The Puuc Route (puuc means "mounds") is a tour of archaeological sites that has undoubtedly become one of the favorite tours for Yucatecans and visitors to the region.This tour includes the archaeological sites of Uxmal, Kabah, Sayil, Xlapak, Labná, Oxkintok, Grutas de Calcehtok and Grutas de Loltún. Throughout the tour you will find fully restored structures, others in process and some still covered with grass, trees and dense vegetation. The latter are very similar to those found by the first explorers at the end of the last century.Also, as you travel along this route, you will find villages steeped in history, artisans and the best of Yucatecan gastronomy.

I'm going on a school trip which we will go to the Puuc Route, I think it will be incredible, from what I have researched it is a tour that takes you through the Mayan culture, there are shows at night in Uxmal, in the caves they have found archaeological remains and depending on the route you may find some, I am excited to know that I will be able to learn more about the Mayan culture, I want to visit all their pyramids, I will visit each part, I will take many photos, I like that there are legends, like that of the dwarf of Uxmal, I want to know many more apart from that.
